C. Hertz, M.D.
Kenneth
C. Hertz, M.D. is a Board Certified Dermatologist with his
office located in the Baptist Hospital area of Miami. He
specializes in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of skin
cancers as well as cosmetic procedures such as Botox, chemical
peels, laser treatment of telangiectasias and pigmented
lesions, and Restylane.
Dr.
Hertz is a “triple ivy”. He holds an undergraduate degree
from Brown University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude,
with highest honors in biology, a medical degree from Harvard,
and completed a year of postgraduate training in dermatology
at Yale. He performed his Internship in Internal Medicine at
Boston City Hospital and completed his Residency in
Dermatology at University of Miami School of Medicine. During
his training Dr. Hertz spent two years as Assistant Resident
in Dermatology at Yale New Haven Hospital and spent two years
as a Clinical Associate at the National Institutes of Health
where he did research on immunologic aspects of dermatology
and is the author of numerous papers published in prestigious
journals.
Dr.
Hertz is a member of several professional societies, including
the American Medical Association, Dade County Medical
Association, and Florida Medical Association. He is a Fellow
of the American Academy of Dermatology, Florida Society of
Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and Florida Society of
Dermatologic Surgeons, where he has also served on the board
of directors. He is a member of the Miami Dermatologic
Society, and has twice been elected its president. In
addition, Dr. Hertz has spoken at the Washington, D.C.
Dermatological Society, the National Institutes of Health
Workshop on vitiligo, and the Society for Investigative
Dermatology. He is currently the subsection chief of
dermatology at Baptist Hospital in Miami.
Dr.
Hertz, who has been cited as “Best Dermatologist” by Miami
Magazine, is also a Voluntary Professor at the University
of Miami School of Medicine. He will continue to maintain his
private practice at its current location in the Baptist
Hospital area of Miami.
