Larissa
Zaulyanov-Scanlan, M.D. is a Board Certified Dermatologist and
Dermatologic Surgeon practicing in
Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Margate, and Weston,
Florida. She specializes
in facial skin cancer surgery and repair, including use of the
Mohs technique. Her
professional interests include skin cancer surgery and facial
reconstruction, skin cancer prevention, wound healing, laser
surgery, the effect of hormones on the skin, and sclerotherapy
of leg veins, all areas in which she has authored and
co-authored articles and book chapters.
Dr.
Zaulyanov-Scanlan graduated Cum Laude in Microbiology and Cell
Science from the
University
of
Florida
in
Gainesville
, with minors in Philosophy and Chemistry.
She received her medical degree at the
University
of
South Florida
in
Tampa
, graduating among the top of her class and being recognized
with the Award for Academic Excellence.
It is there where she also completed her internship
training in Internal Medicine.
Her
residency training in Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery was
completed at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital
where she was the recipient of the Excellence in Dermatologic
Surgery Award as well as recognized for her senior research
project involving collagen production in a skin model after
treatment with estrogen and laser.
She was also the recipient of the American Society of
Dermatologic Surgery Preceptorship Award under the guidance of
Dr. Stephen Mandy in
Miami

Florida
, which focused extensively on Cosmetic Dermatology, and she
was awarded the Women’s Dermatologic Society Mentorship
Grant in Laser Education and Research under the guidance of
Dr. Tina Alster in
Washington
D.C.
Dr.
Zaulyanov-Scanlan enjoys all aspects of dermatologic surgery,
from skin cancer treatment and post-surgical reconstruction to
cosmetic enhancement. Her
goal is to provide the highest-quality patient-centered care
available.
