What Conditions Does Smooth Beam Laser Treat?

Smooth Beam provides facial rejuvenation for fine lines around the lips and eyes, deeper lines and grooves that form in our brow, next to the nose and down to the corners of our mouth. It also helps improve surface irregularities such as pigment discolorations, acne scarring and active acne found on the face, neck, shoulders, upper back and chest.

How Does The Treatment Work?

A gentle laser pulse stimulates the formation of new collagen beneath the skin surface while a dynamic cooling device protects the outer layer of the skin. As new collagen forms it softens the appearance of wrinkles and aging skin and reduces the number of acne lesions on the skin. Scars are gradually filled in by the body’s own collagen.

What Are The Treatments Like And Do They Hurt?

The treatment is performed in the doctor’s office and takes between 10 and 30 minutes. The doctor will use a small hand-piece with a probe that touches your skin to deliver the laser light. No tissue is removed and due to the comfort provided by the spray of the cooling device, most patients only feel a slight snapping or tingling sensation as the laser pulses. A topical anesthetic can be used for patients with sensitive skin. The number of treatments and interval of treatments vary depending on the severity of the condition and the extent of the improvement desired. After treatment, patients can resume all activities without anyone knowing you’ve had treatment.

How Long Before I See Results?

Every patient is different, although many notice improvements after the second or third treatment. During your series of treatment, you will see an ongoing improvement in how your skin looks and feels. You can watch as your skin gradually rebuilds from the inside restoring a more youthful, firmer and smoother appearance.
